Manavta is an NGO that works towards providing timely assistance to accident victims on the Mumbai Suburban Railway route. We work 24 hours a day in co-ordination with the Indian Railway, Government Railway Police and other local governing bodies.

Our work force is divided into 3 units - a central coordinating unit (at Dadar Station), a spot coordinating unit and a hospital coordinating unit. These three units work closely as a team to ensure that the accident victims receive prompt medical attention. In addition to this, we have our staff deployed at all BMC & State government hospitals where the victims are treated.

This website has been made to provide easy access for the relatives / friends of accident victims. Our database is updated regularly with details and photos of the victims. The search process has been simplified and is made user friendly so that relatives/friends do not have to frantically search every railway station, police station, hospital or morgue.

Manavta stands for humanity. We have just one clear cut mission or goal, and that is to provide timely aid, as well as treat every accident victim with respect and dignity. In short, we value life.
